Rules & Fishery Guidelines

General Rules

Maximum 5 persons on site (2 anglers, 3 guests)
Children of all ages welcome; 12+ to fish, supervised
Children under 16 must be accompanied at all times
No additional guests, visitors, or dogs allowed
Strictly no smoking or vaping inside the accommodation
No tents, swimming, drones, or fires
BBQs permitted only if raised off the ground
Alcohol to be consumed sensibly; misuse will result in removal or ban
Anti-social or ungentlemanly conduct will not be tolerated
Drive slowly on the lane and through gates – 5mph limit
No climbing fences or gates
Swims must be left clean and tidy; all litter to be removed or placed in bins

Angling Rules

2 rods per angler (3 rods for single angler)
Micro-barbed hooks only (no barbless)
No fixed leads
Minimum mainline 12lb breaking strain
No braided mainlines
No leaders or leadcore of any type
Tubing allowed
No zig rigs
No surface fishing
Spodding allowed with spom float or similar
Bait boats allowed
Anglers must carry a receiver if leaving rods unattended
Valid rod licence and full fish care kit required
Staff reserve the right to conduct rig checks at any time

Fish Care (Strictly Enforced)

No fish to be retained
Only fishery-provided nets, slings, and cradles to be used
Fish to rest in the net before weighing or photographing
Fish must not be held above knee height
Allow fish 5 minutes recovery in the net before handling
Use weigh sling only, and return fish safely in the sling

Any distressed or damaged fish must be reported immediately

Bait Rules

Branded freezer baits only
Styal Mill house pellets only (purchased separately)
Personal pop-ups and hookbaits allowed
No nuts, particles, maggots, bread, or plastic baits

Liability & Damage

The booker is fully responsible for any damage or loss caused by anyone in their party
Owners accept no responsibility for injury, loss, damage, or theft on site
